Pastor Joseph Olorunniyin Olufemi, JP, was born on 20 September 1942 to the family of Pa Chief Amos Olufemi of Odogbo Compound and Mrs. Comfort Aina Olufemi of Odo-Akodi, Ekinrin-Adde. He hails from the Igaga Clan and was raised in a religious home that laid the foundation for his lifelong commitment to faith and Godly service.

He began his formal education at Baptist Central School, where his brilliance earned him accelerated promotion during his early years in school. Despite financial challenges, he remained committed to his education, supporting himself through farming and other menial jobs during school holidays.

His spiritual journey started at an early age. He was baptized by immersion in 1963 and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit in 1965. These experiences strengthened his faith and deepened his commitment to Christian service.

In 1966, he enlisted in the Nigerian Army as an Electrical Specialist and went on to build a military career. He rose through the ranks and eventually retired as a Warrant Officer. During his years of service, he received advanced military and technical training in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.

In 1980, he participated in the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Lebanon, an assignment that provided him with the opportunity to visit significant biblical locations, including Jerusalem and Bethlehem.

Following his military service, Pastor Olufemi worked as an Electrical Superintendent with the Nigerian Bottling Company, where he served meritoriously for fourteen years.

In 1999, he answered the call into full time Christian ministry. Guided by respected church leaders and mentors, he was ordained into ministry and devoted himself to preaching, prayer, and pastoral service.

Over the years, he has remained committed to the growth of the Church and the spiritual development of believers.

Pastor Olufemi is a man of humility who has gained much respect through his commitment to the work of God. Even after retiring at home in October 2024, he has continued to serve faithfully in various capacities, dedicating his time to prayer and spiritual activities within the community.

He is happily married to Mrs. Florence Adeoti Olufemi, and their marriage is blessed with children who have grown to become committed Christians and active contributors to the Church.
