Easter: Kogi NSCDC Deploys 1700 Officers, Assures of Hitch Free Celebration

As Christians mark the Easter celebration worldwide, Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has deployed over 1700 personnel to ensure a hitch-free Easter celebration in the State.

This according to a statement by the State Commandant of NSCDC, Ahmad Ahmad Gandi, is in line with the Commandant General directive, Ahmed Abubakar Audi

The statement signed by the Command Public Relations Officer, Agiri O Alex noted that the deployment cut across flash points within the State and it’s environ, worship centers and all Critical National Assets and Infrastructure.

“To this end, the State Commandant Ahmad Ahmad Gandi has directed the Area Commanders, divisional Officers (DO’s), all outpost, special units and department to adhere strictly to the NSCDC operational order as provided by the Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi PhD Mni OFR.

The State Commandant admonished personnel to be of good conduct in line with world best practices and solicited for cooperation from the public by way of giving prompt intelligence.

Commandant A A Gandi advised the Christian community to go about the celebration peacefully as this was one of the reasons Jesus Christ died by laying down his life.

The Commandant used this opportunity to call on religious leaders nation wide to pray and commit the affairs of Nigeria into the hands of the Almighty God, as he wishes everyone a hitch-free Easter celebration.
