The State Security Adviser to the Kogi State Government, Commander Jerry Omodara (Rtd), today joined other top government officials and stakeholders in Kabba to officially flag off Hon. Jethro Funsho Oni’s (Chop Chop) annual food distribution for widows.
The distribution was officially flagged off at Solid Rock Hotels & Suites, Kabba, by Commander Jerry Omodara (Rtd).
Speaking at the event, Commander Omodara said it was a sight to behold, noting that Hon. Chop Chop is demonstrating a genuine commitment to grassroots development by distributing food items to widows across the Kabba/Bunu constituency.
According to him, the humanitarian exercise by Hon. Jethro Funsho Oni aims to reach widows across Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area. He emphasized that the packages are intended to alleviate economic hardship and ensure widows can feed with dignity and ease during the Sallah period.
He noted that Hon. Chop Chop is passionate about philanthropy and committed to ensuring that widows are shown genuine love during festive periods.
To him, this is a display of APC in action and a continuation of the legacy of our action-driven Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State.
Omodara also stated that the All Progressives Congress remains a talk-and-do party, one that leads with compassion, purpose, and a human face. He added that, to the credit of Governor Usman Ododo, Kogites and particularly Kabba/Bunu residents can now sleep soundly.
Finally, Commander Omodara flagged off the food distribution, urged that it reach all deserving widows, and donated ₦300,000 in cash support. He praised Hon. Jethro Oni for the gesture and congratulated all the nominated recipients.
