A Frontline Gubernatorial Aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023  Governorship election in Kogi State, Prince Dayo Akanmode has congratulated Muslims on the occasion of this year’s Eid el Kabir Celebration.

Prince Akanmode in a statement made available to The Drum Reporters in Lokoja, the state capital, rejoiced with Muslims across the state and the country on the sacrifice celebration.

According to him, Eid el Kabir signifies sacrifice by Prophet Ibrahim, hence the need for Nigerians to put the interest of the country above personal gains.

In his words, “I join our Muslim brothers and Sisters in wishing them happy Eid El Kabir. There can not be a better occasion than now to preach love, peace, selflessness and sacrifice. The Eid El Kabir symbolizes all these. While felicitating with the Muslim faithfuls, I call on all to continue to embrace and radiate the spirit of love, giving and compassion especially with the less privileged and vulnerable in the society.”

The Governorship Aspirant further said “There is no doubt that Nigeria is going through a challenging period of hunger, killings and banditry. We must however not lose hope for a better Nigeria. We must emphasize issues that can unite us rather than divisive tendencies. Wishing our brothers and sisters a successful celebrations”

Prince Akanmode charged Nigerians not to lose hope, saying the country can get it right when godly leaders are at the helm of affairs.

He stressed the need for more prayers for the nation to enjoy peace at all levels.
