A former governorship aspirant, security expert, chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Dr. Erico Joseph Ameh, has congratulated all 21 local government chairmen-elect, vice chairmen-elect, and the 239 councillors-elect in the recently concluded Kogi LG elections on their well-deserved victory and successful swearing-in at the government house lokoja which ended before 10am this morning the 21st October 2024 mark the beginning of their tenure in office.

In a statement signed and made available to newsmen, Dr. Erico Joseph Ameh described their victory as well-deserved, a testament to the good governance and purposeful leadership displayed by the Executive Governor of Kogi state, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, since assuming office in 2023. Therefore I advise that all elected Chairmen and councillors should consolidate what the Governor is doing.

“Our people at the grassroots expect much from you. They have entrusted you with their mandate, hoping you will deliver on your promises and provide the dividends of democracy to them accordingly.

“While congratulating the good people of Kogi state and the supporters of our beloved party, the APC, on their well-deserved victory and successful swearing-in, it is my prayer that God endows them with courage, wisdom, and good health to pilot the affairs of their people for the overall development of Kogi state.”
