Gbede Development Union, a Social Cultural Group in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State has expressed condolence to the Director Local Government Administration of the Area over the death of his elder brother, Comrade S.A Asaju.
National President of the Union, Chief Israel Oshafunmi in a condolence message family of the deceased over the unfortunate loss.
“The late S.A Asaju was one of the founding fathers of the present Gbede Development Union. The late Comrade is patriotic and praise worthy citizen, duly committed as he gave all he could materially, physically and spiritually to the sustenance of GDU at its formative stage. No wonder he was made the preterm Financial Secretary.
“Comrade, your legacies lives on and cannot be forgotten easily. Though as humans, one cannot but be pained about the irreparable loss of a loved one. But as Christians, we urge the entire family members to take solace in the spirit of the letter of Ecc. 3:1-8 that,’ there is time for everything.
He prayed God to grant the late Samuel Abiodun Asaju eternal rest, saying his death has created vacuum too difficult to fill.
“We pray also that God grant the entire family and Gbede land the fortitude and courage to bear this heavy loss. Sorely missed, adieu beloved comrade till resurrection day.
Comrade S. A Asaju died on the 26th of February in an illness.
