Glitz, Glamour As Ododo, Faleke, Obaro, Haruna Attend Ekinrin Adde Day

It was an absolute display of glitz and glamour as dignitaries from all walks of life on Saturday attended the Ekinrin Adde Day 2024 and Fund Raising of N500, 000 for the development of the Community.

The Guests including top government functionaries from Federal, State and Local Government, Politicians, Traditional Rulers as well as sons and daughters of the were beautifully dressed for the epoch making event amidst singing and dancing.

The colourful event attracted dignitaries including Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, Member Representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, Arc. Salman Idris, Member Representing Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf, Speaker KSHA, Hon. Durosimi Meseko, Deputy National Publicity Secretary of APC, Hon. Hillary Ojoma, Deputy Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor.

Others includes; Hon. Sunday Faleke – Commissioner for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Mrs Helen Aderibigbe, Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Technology, Hon. Seyi Bello, Members of the State House of Assembly, former Commissioners, Ministers and a Senator.

The Traditional Rulers were not left out as the Obaro of Kabba, Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi led the Okun Traditional Council to the Cultural day.

Governor Ododo in his remarks, praised the leadership of Ekinrin Adde Community Development Association (EACDA), the Olu Adde, Olu Anthony Bamigbaiye for projecting the cultural heritage of the Community and the State to the world.

The Governor expressed appreciation to the people of the Community and Ijumu Local Government Area for the massive support during the last Governorship Election, assuring that he would not disappoint them.

In his remarks, the Member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke congratulated the entire Ekinrin Adde Community for the successful hosting of this year’s festival.

Hon. Faleke, who was conferred with the highest Honour in the Community, Grand-Star Award used the occasion to appreciate the people of Kogi State for their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging them to keep hope alive in his administration.

He also called on the State Governor to prioritize the development of Okun land which according to him is in serious need of infrastructural development.

The Olu Adde of Ekinrin Adde, Olu Anthony Bamigbaiye, who expressed delight over the massive turnout for the event, offered prayers for the continued peace, progress and development of the Community.

Earlier, the National President of Ekinrin Adde Community Development Association (EACDA), Elder Wilson Abiodun Olorunleke said with the annual event and support of personalities, sons and daughters of the Community, significant progress has been made in terms of infrastructural development, promotions, peace and sound health.

In his words “a lot of good things have happened to us as a Community since we last celebrated our annual day and we return all the glory to God.”

Elder Olorunleke said the EACDA Executive under his leadership has made remarkable achievements through supports of development partners particularly, Hon. Faleke.

“Our great gratitude goes to our development partners who have been instrumental to all we have enjoyed over the past one year, of particularly mention is our indefatigable Hon James Abiodun Faleke, the Arole of Ekinrin-Adde and great lover of our Community for his unprecedented commitment to the advancement of Ekinrin- Adde. Our Administration has continued to enjoy unparalleled demonstration of Love and support from all, we do not take it for granted.

He further states that “With your support, in the life of this administration, we inaugurated the Ekinrin-Adde Community Radio (Akogba FM Radio) first of its kind in Okun land, completion of magistrate court building, ongoing advanced work on our Palace Hall project, interventions in our market, Hospital, School etc. We appreciate your invaluable support and solidarity.”

The event also featured conferment of Grand-Star Award on Hon. Faleke and others for their immense contribution to Community development and their career as well as conferment of Chieftaincy Titles on deserving personalities.
