The Federal Commissioner of National Population Commission (NPC) in charge of Kogi State, Hon. Yori Afolabi has sympathised with the Iyara Community, headquarters of Ijumu Local Government over the passing of the Eleta Oluyara, HRH. Oba Jacob Meduteni.
Hon. Afolabi in a statement expressed deep sorrow over the demise of the Eleta Oluyara, describing him as a humble and straightforward person.
He also described the late Iyara Paramount Ruler as a respected traditional ruler whose contributions to the development of Iyara, Ijumu and Okunland cannot be forgotten.
He recall that before ascending the throne in 2023, Oba Meduteni had a distinguished career in engineering and corporate management, including his service as a former Chief Executive Officer of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (KAEDCO) and Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO).
