Ijumu Caretaker Chairman Hails Appointment Of Yetunde Oni As Union Bank MD/CEO

The Ijumu Caretaker Chairman, Hon. Haruna Ibrahim has hailed the appointment of Mrs. Yetunde Oni Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Union Bank.

Hon. Haruna in a statement he personally signed described the appointment as heartwarming, coming few days after his appointment as Chairman, Transition Committee of the Local Government.

According to him, the elevation of the Financial Expert of repute is a reward for her dexterity, hard work, dedication and utmost contributions to the Banking System both in Nigeria and the continent of Africa.

The Chairman stated that Ijumu people are proud of Mrs. Yetunde Oni, saying she has proven to be a true daughter of Ijumu Kingdom.

Alhaji Haruna also enjoined the Union Bank MD/CEO to use her new office to facilitate a branch of the Bank to the Local Government, saying the Council under his watch is not paying lip service to issues of security of lives and property.

“For years now, Ijumu Local Government does not have a functional Bank after they were closed down. I want to assure you that there’s no course for alarm under my Leadership, issues of insecurity will become a thing of the past by the special grace of God.”

He expressed hope that the new MD/CEO will reposition Union Bank and justify the trust reposed in her, assuring of the support of Ijumu people particularly in prayer.
