A Frontline Politician in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, Engr. John Olorunjuwon Ibishagba has hinted on reasons why he left the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) after 25 years.
Engr. Ibishagba while speaking when he hosted Stakeholders of the APC at his country home, Olle Bunu noted that he join the ruling party based on his passion for development of Bunu land especially the rehabilitation of the Kabba-Ayede-Olle-Iluke road, currently in a dilapidated State.

He recalled that when he was at the opposition party, he had never benefitted anything and finds it difficult to attract dividends of democracy to his people.
The Frontline Politician expressed appreciation to the Kabba-Bunu APC Stakeholders for the reception accorded him and his supporters, assuring of 100 Percent support especially during this Saturday’s Local Government election.
He also noted that he believes in the exceptional leadership qualities of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, saying the Governor has demonstrated that he was prepared to govern the State with the achievements recorded less than a year in office.
On his part, the Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones attributed the massive defection from the opposition to APC to the sterling Leadership provided by Governor Ododo since he assumed office on January 27th this year.
According to him, the Kabba-Ayede-Olle-Iluke road is a major concern of Government as the Governor is aware of the condition of the road, expressing optimism that it will soon be fixed.
He solicited the support of the people to the present administration in the State to enable them get the attention of the government.
In his remarks, the former member representing Kabba-Bunu at the State House of Assembly, Hon. Alfred Bello enjoined political office holders from Bunu land to unite and ensure democracy dividends is attracted to the land.
Earlier, the Chairman of APC in the Local Government, Hon. Solomon Jembawondo applauded Engr. Ibishagba for demonstrating outstanding leadership qualities despite the fact that he has never occupied appointive or elective positions.
Hon. Jembawondo expressed delight that with the coming of Engr. Ibishagba, Olle/Oke Offin ward has now become the home of APC, describing him as a Heavyweight Politician.
