The Kabba/Bunu Legislative Council has been inaugurated, with Hon. Foluke Ayinmode elected as its Leader.
Ayinmode, who represents Olle/Oke-Offin Ward, was re-elected for a second term at the Kogi State Local Government election held on Saturday, October 17, 2026. She was subsequently chosen by her colleagues as Council Leader.
The Clerk of the House performed the inauguration under the supervision of the Executive Chairman of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Hon. Zacchaeus Dare Michael, Esq.
In her acceptance speech, Ayinmode thanked Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo; Michael; the State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (retd); and the Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones, FCIB, among other leaders, for their support and leadership.
She pledged to work with her colleagues to ensure effective legislation and faster development in the local government area.
She also assured that the council, under her leadership, would give full backing to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Ododo and all candidates of the All Progressives Congress in the 2027 general elections.
