Kogi State Commissioner of Environment, Chief Victor Adewale Omofaiye has been conferred with an award of Ekinrin Adde Man of the year.
The Olu Adde of Ekinrin Adde, Olu Anthony Bamigbaiye-Idowu presented the Award to the grassroots politician, saying his support to the throne of Olu Adde is remarkable and commendable, hence the honour.
Olu Bamigbaiye-Idowu also commended the Commissioner for his selfless service to humanity and urged him to sustain the spirit.
Responding, Kogi State Commissioner of Environment, Chief Victor Adewale Omofaiye thanked the Olu Adde for the honour, saying it would spur him to do more.
Chief Omofaiye commended the Olu Bamigbaiye-Idowu for uniting the people and maintaining peace in his domain, saying his appointment as first class chief if well deserved.
He used the occasion to call on the people of Ijumu Local Government to continue in the Support for the State Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello.
The Commissioner, who stressed the need for peaceful coexistence, said peace is important to development of any society.
He said the Government of Governor Bello has given attention to security, quality health care as well as youths and women engagement in governance, saying the present administration is committed to doing more.
