The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday presented Certificate of Return to Assembly member elect in Kogi State including first Ijumu female elected State Lawmaker, Hon. Omotayo Adeleye-Ishaya.
Hon. Omotayo Ishaya Adeleye while speaking with Newsmen shortly after collecting her certificate attributed the success to the Female friendly policies of Women engagement and Gender Inclusive programmes by Governor Yahaya Bello in the state.
Hon. Ishaya Adeleye commended the Governor being the key actor to every female participation in politics across the state.
She expressed her gratitude to the first lady of the state, Rashida Bello, whom she described as a woman of virtue, compassionate towards every women and a mother indeed.
The Lawmaker Elect promised to use her office to represent her constituents well and the women.
