Kogi Monarch Commissions First Private Community Radio in Okun land, Akogba FM

Personalities including Traditional Rulers on Saturday commissioned the First Private Community Radio in Okun land, the Yoruba speaking people of Kogi State.

The General Manager and Chief Executive of National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos Prof. Sunday Enesi Ododo, Vice Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja, Prof Olayemi Akinwumi, Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom, Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni, Olu Adde of Ekinrin Adde, Olu Anthony Bamigbaye Idowu and the Eje Dekina, Alh. Usman Obaje among other Royal Fathers were on ground for the ceremony which is part of activities marking the 2023 Ekinrin Adde Day Festival.

The Olu Adde, who performed the ceremony described the Community Radio, Akogba FM as a dream come through and commended all that supported the project.

In a remark, the General Manager and Chief Executive of National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos Prof. Sunday Enesi Ododo congratulated the people of Ekinrin Adde Community on the feat, saying the Radio is germane to information dissemination.

Prof. Ododo urged the management of the Radio station to use the Station to edify the values of the Community and avoid bias in discharging it’s responsibility.

He noted that though financing a Radio station is costly, he is ready to support the Media Outfit in his little way.
