Kogi Monarch Commissions Renovated Blocks of Classrooms, Science Laboratory

In a bid to improve tea hing and learning, the Olu Adde of Ekinrin-Adde, Olu Anthony Bamigbaiye Idowu on Monday commissioned the newly renovated blocks of classrooms and a functional science laboratory at the Community Comprehensive College, Ekinrin-Adde in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

A Statement by Adekanye Victor Adewale, the National Publicity Secretary, Ekinrin Adde Community Development Association explained that the Project was the Proceeds of the 2021 Ekinrin-Adde day ceremony which was aimed at raising money to renovate the dilapidated physical structures in our schools.

It reads “However, considering the huge amount involved and the amount redeemed from the launching, the EACDA exco by necessity had to reach out to other development partners for support to ensure that we achieve our set goal.”

“We are glad to let you know that the Patriots Club of Ekinrin-Adde, EACDA United Kingdom chapter and ESV Olugbenga Collins Rotimi gladly answered the clarion call and this partnership culminated in the event on Monday.”

The elated Olu Adde while speaking at the ceremony showered praises and pronounced royal blessings on all those who have in one way or the other contributed to the renovations and.

In his remarks, the Principal of the school who was full of appreciation and thanksgiving rolled out a long list of individuals and branches who have in one way or the other supported the school at different times by way of payment of school fees, renovation, employment of PTA teachers, payment of WAEC fees and so on.

In a remark, the Olufakun of Adde, High Chief Olowo Cornelius equally prayed for all those who made the renovation possible and everyone who have been supporting the school over the years. He emphasized the need for more individuals, families and clubs to join in the development of our community.

He particularly praised the innovative idea of ESV Olugbenga Collins Rotimi for renovating the laboratory in the memory of his late mother and also the Patriots Club for not only renovating the two blocks of classrooms but also providing one hundred chairs and tables for the school.

The EACDA National President, Mr Olorunleke Wilson thanked everyone present as well as development partners and further elaborated on the need for stakeholders to either notify or directly involve the EACDA in whatever projects they are involved.

He pleaded that the CCC needed more tables and chairs and it will cost about N450,000 to make fifty (50) pairs while encouraging the UK chapter to complete their project at CCC and prayed to God to provide for them.

“With this new developments, we encourage parents who have taken their children to neighboring communities because of lack of amenities to return them. The renovation of the Laboratory also effectively puts an end to students of CCC going to write their practical exams in other schools.”
