The Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Media, Hon. Ismaila Isah says the State has now become a beehive of massive infrastructural development under the administration Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Hon. Isah stated this on Monday in Abuja during a Live Radio Show on Wazobia FM.
According to the Governor’s Spokesman, since the present administration in the State is anchored consolidation, the GYB Junction-Zango-Zone 8 Roundabout Road as well as the Crusher-Zone 8 Roundabout Road have been completed by the present administration and awaiting commissioning any moment from now.
He noted that while many township roads at the Local Government levels have received a face lift, others are currently getting due attention of government, pointing out that many rural road projects are currently ongoing.
The Special Adviser explained that about N29.9 Billion has been spent on Erosion Control across the State through the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) as part of ongoing effort to check the annual perennial flooding and other impacts of climate change in selected locations in the three senatorial districts.
On other remarkable achievements of the Governor, Hon. Isah said his Boss has made meaningful impact in the Security sector with purchase of Patrol Vehicles and security gadgets to Security Agencies, saying the Governor is on top of the game of safeguarding lives and property of the people.
He maintained that there is currently free education in the State from Primary to Secondary schools with the release of over N600 million for payment of WAEC for final year students in Public Schools.
Hon. Isah further stated that all courses in the State owned Tertiary Institutions are fully accredited with the restoration of Bursary allowance to Students of Kogi State Origin, noting that education has continued to receive due attention of the state government under Governor Ododo .
Asked on the introduction of Tax Clearance Certificates for Students of higher Institutions in the State, the Governor’s Spokesman said the matter has been laid to rest as the Governor, being the Chief Servant of the people, listens to the plight of the people and called for suspension of the initiative.
In the Agriculture Sector, the Special Adviser noted that the Governor has invested a lot in the Sector with introduction of all year round farming with distribution of needed inputs to genuine farmers.
Hon. Isah also disclosed that with the establishment of Kogi State Electricity Regulatory Commission, activities of the Agency will take off soon as investors are already showing interest and the Governor is committed to providing enabling environment for investors coming to the State
