Kogi NSCDC Promises Sustained Partnership with Organized Labour

The Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kogi State Command, Commandant Ahmad Ahmad Gandi, has assured of the continued partnership of the Command with the State Council of Nigeria Labour Congress.

 

Gandi gave the assurance when he played host to the newly elected exco members of the State NLC in his Office in Lokoja.

The Commandant noted that the Nigeria Labor Congress has been selfless in their services, acting as an intermediary between the Federal Government of Nigeria and its work Force.

Commandant Gandi while speaking from his experience went back memory lane, said as Deputy Commandant Head of Operation Department at the Federal Capital Territory Command (FCT CMMD) the NSCDC has been playing its role by providing Security in Venues and events organized by the Nigeria Labor Congress as long as it falls within the ambit of the law. Hence the State Commandant assured them of cooperation where necessary as long as it doesn’t contravene the laws of the land.

Commandant AA Gandi noted that the versatility and pragmatic approach to Security of lives and property by the Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi PhD Mni OFR by procuring Vehicles for operational duties, training and retraining of NSCDC personnel across all formations within and outside the shores of the Country, taking the welfare of NSCDC personnel very seriously, too many to mention has led to higher productivity of our personnel, and this is evidential in the just concluded general elections where our officers were seen carrying out their assigned responsibilities with uttermost professionalism.

Earlier on, the Chairman, Mr Amadi Joel appreciated the leadership of the Corps Ahmed Abubakar Audi PhD Mni OFR the Commandant General for his commitment to the Corps and the entire Country Nigeria, in ensuring adequate protection of lives and property.

Speaking further, he said one of the major role of the Nigeria Labor Congress is to build a healthy working relationship between the Federal Government and the Nigerian workers, hence the visit is not only to seek synergy with the Command but to also acquaint the new exco to the Commandant.
