It was a sigh of relief on Thursday as Prominent Ijumu Leaders gathered at Iyara, headquarters of Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi for the official Commissioning of Todars Hotels, a 5 Star hospitality facility.

Hotel accomodations had been a major challenge in the Local Government headquarters as visitors have to go to Kabba and other neighboring communities to get a befitting accommodation.

This challenge has now become a thing of the past as the birth of the Hotel facility, which has the capacity to compete with its counterparts in Major cities in the county, is no doubt a welcome development.

Prominent among Dignitaries at the commissioning include, the Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom, Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni, Eleta Oluyara of Iyara land, Oba Jacob Meduteni, 1st National Deputy President of Federation of Tourism Association of Nigeria (FTAN), Alh. Aliyu Badaki and Anglican Bishop of Ijumu Diocese, Church of Nigeria, Prof. Paul Ojo.

The Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom, Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni, who expressed delight over the development told the Chairman, CEO, Todars Hotel, Chief Mike Oloruntoba Olorundare that his investment will not be regretted as necessary moves will be made to ensure the facility gets patronage.

He used the occasion to call on Ijumu sons and daughters to invest in the Local Government as electricity, which has been a major challenge has now become a thing of the past.

In his remarks, the Eleta Oluyara of Iyara land, Oba Jacob Meduteni who was coronated last Saturday expressed joy that commissioning was happening during his time, describing the Chairman, CEO of Todars Hotel as a role model that should be emulated.

On his part, the 1st National President of FTAN, Alh. Aliyu Badaki, who is the National President of Iyara Development Association (IDA) noted that the Hotel has provided employment opportunities for many, noting that that Community is happy with the development.

Alh. Badaki, a Hospitality Mogul said the Community will give the Hotel the needed support it needed to succeed.

In his response, Chairman, CEO, Todars Hotel, Chief Mike Oloruntoba Olorundare, who doubles as the Oloda of Iyara land described the commissioning as a dream come true in view of his love to invest in Iyara community.

He promised quality service for would be customers.
