Kogi Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (Rtd), on Saturday, attended the annual cultural day celebration of Ekinrin-Adde community in Ijumu Local Government.
He also described culture as a symbol of unity, saying if properly harnessed, will promote peace in the country.
Among notable personalities in attendance are; Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, ably represented by His Excellency, Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo, the Deputy Governor of Kogi State.
Commander Omodara in his remarks, expressed joy with the colourful occasion and congratulated the people of Ekinrin-Adde, and particularly, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, who doubles as the Arole of Ekinrin-Adde community, for yet another historical landmark of festivities.
He expressed satisfaction with the manner in which Okun Communities are projecting their rich cultural heritage, describing it as a step in the right direction.
The Security Adviser prayed that God grants every attendee’s of Ekinrin-Adde Day good health to witness many more in years ahead, while reiterating his readiness to continue to support any developmental project from the community.
