The newly appointed Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Kogi State on Grassroots Mobilisation, Olubo Ayo Mathew, has expressed profound gratitude to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, FCA, for approving his appointment, describing it as “not only a great honour but also a call to greater service.”
In an appreciation message, Mathew said he was “deeply grateful for the opportunity to contribute my quota to the development of our dear State and to serve under your purposeful and people-oriented administration.”
He also commended Dr. Paul Femi Fashagba for his role in facilitating the appointment, appreciating him for his “invaluable support, confidence and role” in the process, and pledged to “remain committed to justifying the confidence reposed in me.”
Pledging his loyalty to the Ododo administration, Mathew assured the governor of his “unwavering loyalty, dedication and support” for the government’s developmental vision for Kogi State, promising to bring his “experience, energy and grassroots connection to bear in mobilising our people, strengthening our political structures.”
He specifically committed to ensuring that Ogale/Aduge Ward remains aligned with the governor’s agenda, stating he would “work diligently to ensure that Ogale/Aduge Ward remains firmly aligned with the vision, programmes and developmental agenda of our humble, humane and people-centred Governor.”
Mathew further reaffirmed his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, as well as his backing for Governor Ododo’s re-election bid for a second term “in accordance with the democratic process.”
He said he does not take the appointment for granted, noting he accepted the responsibility “with humility and a deep sense of duty,” and pledged to remain accessible and responsive to the people.
Mathew rounded off his message with a prayer for the governor, asking God to grant him “wisdom, strength, good health and divine guidance,” and pledged to “serve with loyalty, humility, commitment and results.”
