Kogi LGA Chairman Assumes Office, Tasks Councillors on Rule of Law

Ward councillors in Kogi Local government area have been advised to discharge their duties in accordance with the provisions of the law.

 

Chairman of the Council, Musa Abdulmalik gave the advice in Koton-karfe during the swearing in of the eleven ward councillors of Kogi LGA.

 

The Council Chairman urged the councillors to be in touch with their constituents and called for cooperation with the Executive arm of the Local Government Area.

AbdulMalik stressed that working together at the grassroot level of governance would help attain the vision of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for Kogi state.

 

In his remarks, House of Assembly Member representing Kogi-Koton-karfe State Constituency, Idris Maikudi Aliyu called for unity among stakeholders in the Local government so as to guarantee development in he area.

 

Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, Isah Abdulkarim, Councillor representing Gegu South appreciated the opportunity given them to serve the people and promised to discharge their legislative functions diligently.
