November 4th Indigenous Ijumu Cultural Festival: Abejide Pledges N30m For Olujumu’s Palace

Ahead of the Indigenous Ijumu Cultural Festival, the Candidate of African Democratic Congress in the November 11th Kogi State Governorship election, Elder Leke Abejide has pledged the sum of N30 million for the building of a befitting Palace for the Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom, His Majesty, Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni.

 

The festival which is scheduled for November 4th 2023 at Iyara will attract dignitaries from all walks of life and is first of its kind in the history of the Local Government as well as launching of N250 million for the building of Palace for the Ijumu well respected paramount ruler.

 

Elder Abejide made this known when he visited the Ijumu Paramount Ruler at the Palace to seek Royal blessings.

 

The ADC Governorship Candidate commended the Olujumu for maintaining peace in his domain, saying the pledge was part of his support for the maiden Ijumu Cultural Festival.

 

He lauded the organizers for the foresight at bringing back the lost glory of culture and traditions of the Area, describing it as a step in the right direction.

 

Responding, the Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom, His Majesty, Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni prayed God to grant Elder Abejide success at the polls and thanked him for the pledge.
