Okun-born content creator, Solomon Tope Paul, popularly known as Baba Solo, has called on Okun people to take pride in their language and culture and ensure its preservation for future generations.

Baba Solo made the call while featuring as guest on this week’s edition of _Artist Castle_, the weekly entertainment programme hosted by Daniel Dare on Radio Kogi 94.1 FM.

The content creator, who is based in Lagos, stressed the need for Okun people to actively pass their traditions, values and language to younger ones so that their unique identity is not lost.

He said he has continued to use his platforms to promote the beauty of the Okun language and the richness of Okun heritage, urging others, particularly youths, to do same.

According to him, cultural identity thrives when it is celebrated, shared and consciously preserved.

Baba Solo’s message, he noted, is a timely reminder that language remains a key marker of identity and must not be allowed to fade.
