A stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State, Hon. Samuel Omale and his supporters in Awo, Ojoku Ward have defected to Action Alliance.

In the same vein, some members of the All Progressives Congress and other parties also joined AA in 5 other wards of the Local Government.

Speaking, the Former PDP Stalwart maintained that they have seen the programme of the AA Governorship Candidate, Otunba Olayinka Braimoh which according to him is all-encompassing.

Hon. Omale described Otunba Braimoh as a visionary leader whom Kogi needed to move the state from dependence on Federal Allocation.

He expressed his readiness as well as his teaming supporters to mobilize support for AA which he added is a party to beat in the election.

Other Decampees, Denis Alfred, Sunday Akor, and Sunday David said they believe in Sam Omale and are loyal to him, hence their defection to AA.

Responding, the Action Alliance Governorship Candidate, Otunba Olayinka Braimoh welcomed the Decampees, saying he is on an assignment to end poverty in Kogi State.

“I’m on an assignment to alleviate poverty in Kogi State. Four democratically elected Governors have done their best and only depended on federal allocations. I have the blueprint to drive cash inflow into our State to avoid over-dependence on Federal allocation.

Otunba Braimoh pointed out that his vision is to ensure that every household stops depending on the other for survival, saying his STAT Agenda which focuses on Solid Mineral Development, Trade, Agriculture, and Tourism is aimed at wealth creation.

He noted that with their support, Action Alliance will take over Lugard House come November 11th.

The Gubernatorial Candidate also visited Chief Thomas Amedu, the Onu of Adoja, Awo Ojoku Ward 4 where he sought the royal blessings of the Traditional Ruler.

Chief Amedu prayed to God to grant Otunba Braimoh success at the election.
