A Lokoja based Clergyman, Prophet Mike Ayo Lawal has emphasized the need for parents to engage their children in activities that would make them self reliant.

Prophet Lawal stated this during 3rd Zonal Children Day Thanksgiving organized by the Christ Apostolic Church Felele Zone, Lokoja.

The Clergyman noted that with the high level of unemployment, parents must train their children to be independent to avoid over reliance on white collar job.

He also stressed the need for children to take care of their parent, saying God mandates children to be obedient, respectful and give honour to their parents as well as the elderly in the society.

Prophet Lawal said there is need for parents to be responsible and responsive to the spiritual, moral and financial needs of their wards.

The Zonal Children Minister of the Church, Pastor Obadofin Obadiah restated his commitment to the upbringing of children in a godly manner.

He congratulated Children on the 2022 celebration of Children’s Day and called for a better welfare of the younger generation.
