Race to Lugard House 2023: Here Comes The Messiah

As the race to occupy the exalted seat of the Governor of Kogi State commences, it is now sacrilegious not to say the truth because irrespective of whatever happens to a truthful person, he/she would have fulfilled all righteousness and by so doing, shall be set free at last. Meanwhile, whether we say it or not, death will eventually come. So, it is profitable to always say the wholesale truth. Who knows, the truth we are about to say now may be the only thing that will set Kogi State free from our present political and economical bondage.

With all sense of modesty, we have long been ruminating over the political status of Kogi West in the State and this has always been hinged on whether we are 3rd class citizens? This is because since the creation of the State over 3 decades ago, we’ve not been considered good enough to occupy the governorship stool. This singular act has not given the us the privilege to measure or know if Kogi West will handle the mandate productively.

In the bid to find a workable and lasting solution to this problem, we went all out to conduct a research which gave us the rare privilege to get some important facts about some bigwigs and unsung heroes in the State who posseses the right qualities needed to take the State out of doldrum to prosperity. The research methodology include carrying out background checks, informal interviews of citizens, listening to, meeting with and assessing the respective visions of these individuals.

The result of our research was mind-blowing because we eventually realized that most of the people that can genuinely help Kogi to move forward progressively are rare and unfortunately, sizeable numbers of them are shying away from politics which is quite worrisome.

Consequent upon the above, we were initially discouraged and was almost losing hope on the State until we, again, re-accessed the survey’s recommendations which eventually throw more light on the ways forward. From our findings, the person that will take us to the promised land MUST have the following qualities;

1) Godly but not necessarily religious

2) Humble (The kind of humility that deviod any atom of arrogance)

3) Successful in his personal life

4) Respect the sanctity of human dignity

5) Have a measurable and achievable Blue Print for the State.

Getting an individual with above qualities got us thinking and we realized that even though, it is rare, we still have a few of them in the State. We however need to tell ourselves the wholesale truth by ensuring the following;

1) Support personalty rather that party politics

2) Considers precedence, pedigree and readiness of such individual.

Juxtaposing above with the 50 selected individuals that the research was carried on, we are glad to announce to the public that the person who emerged overall best and possibly the Messiah we’ve been waiting for is Engr OLAYINKA BRAIMOH.

Who is this Engr OLAYINKA BRAIMOH? Get to know him in our next episode of this weekly piece.
