Religious leaders have asked President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to create policies that will affect the lives of the masses positively in the year 2024.

They made the call in Lokoja the Kogi State capital while giving their separate New Year. messages with the drum reporters.

The vicar in charge of Emmanuel Anglican Church Lokoja, Venerable Godwin Kadiri, asked Nigerians to be steadfast in the year 2024 adding that, trusting and holding onto God’s promises will set Nigeria free from every captivity.

Venerable Kadiri said, the present administration of president Ahmed Bola Tinubu must revive the Nation’s economy and to come up with policies that will affect the masses positively.

“The president must do everything within his power to make sure that there is economy resuscitation, he must come up with policies that will touch lives at the grassroots, at the moment, there is abject poverty among the masses, People barely eat two square meals.”

In his New Year message, the senior pastor of Greater Light Gospel Christian Centre international Lokoja, Apostle Daniel Praise Bala, said Nigerians must understand the place of responsibility in all areas of the economy.

Apostle Bala, maintained that, the president should concentrate on providing social amenities for the citizens.

“Everybody must be responsible, don’t allow somebody to do what you are supposed to do, everybody is responsible we will get good result in all areas and no president has power to do all, I think president Tinubu should concentrate on the issue of taking care of the wellbeing of Nigerians and I would also advice politicians that embezzlement is not the best way to live”.

As for the general overseer of Power and Wisdom Christian Assembly Incorporated Lokoja, Reverend Timothy Husseini Ayeh, Nigerians must renew their minds as it is the greatest asset, noting that, political office holders also need to renew their mind towards changing the face of the country.

“There are many ways you can make your mind to work for you, a right mind, a ready mind, a willing minds. We strongly believe that our president will improve, especially on the area of oil sector to make our refineries work and another area is power sector, until the power sector is in motion, every other thing would be dormant”.

Ven. Godwin Kadiri, Apostle Daniel Praise Bala, Reverend Timothy Husseini Ayeh, wish Nigerians a fruitful 2024, urging citizens not to lose hope in the country.
