Prince Morakinyo Akinyele Otitoju has joined the list of eminent personalities to be honored with chieftaincy tittle, come Saturday, June 25, 2022.
This much was made known by the publicity secretary of the Ekinrin-Adde Community Development Association, Mr Victor Adekanye.
Adekanye confirmed that five recipients were announced by the Olu Adde of Ekinrin-Adde, HRM Olu Anthony Bamigbaiye Idowu, ACA, (Ahe Maworo 1)
Otitoju was born on the April 5, 1968 in London, England to the late Elewa of
EkInrin- Adde Oba Zacchaeus Akinyele Otitoju and Olori Grace Abiola Otitoju of Odo-Ona Quarters in Ekinrin- Adde.
His mother-Olori Grace Abiola Otitoju is from lyara in ljumu LGA.
Prince as he is popularly known and called, finished his university degree in University of llorin in 1990 after being awarded a second-class lower division in African History. Before that he attended one of the best Unity schools in Nigeria at that time – Federal Government College, llorin from 1979 to 1984 where he bagged passes in 8 Subjects including distinctions in English Language, History and Economics. He had a stint at ‘A’ Level for one year before he successfully passed the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board Exams.
At the completion of his University Degree, it was clear to Prince that his next chapter in Life was to return to England, his place of Birth, to carve out his niche. So on the 11thof May 1990, 32 years ago and on the birthday of his late Brother- Prince Akinsope Otitoju, he left Nigeria for England to pursue greener pastures. Prince was a 22-year-Old graduate at this time.
On arrival in England, he joined the civil service as an Administrative Officer in the then Department for Education and Employment. He left the service after achieving the grade of Executive Officer. He had a career change in 1999 when he started a career in Social Housing
Management. He covered several high-profile roles in his career including but not limited to being the Head of Housing Management and Neighbourhoods, Head of Properties with the London Borough of Barking and Dagen ham and Head of Defects and construction with Metropolitan Housing.
On leaving London Borough of Barking and Dagenham in 2019, he started working as a Social Housing Consultant for various Social Housing providers in England. He continues to work as a Social Housing Consultant to this day, but he is also a certified Project Manager and a lover of Ekinrin-Adde. His passion is currently Ekinrin- Adde.
Prince is one of the Founding Members of The Patriots of Ekinrin-Adde. He is also a lifetime Patron of EACDA (UK) and a Member of the Chartered institute of Housing (England and Wales)
He is Married and blessed with 3 Princesses who are also keen on enjoying to the fullest, all that Ekinrin-Adde and her subjects have to offer.
