Unity in Diversity: A Call to Action for Ijumu Kingdom Ahead of Local Government Election

As we approach the forthcoming Local Government Election in Kogi State, Ijumu Kingdom stands at a critical juncture.

The election present an opportunity for our kingdom to come together, united in purpose and determination, to shape the future we desire.

In this moment, it is imperative that we put aside our differences and work towards a common goal: the progress and prosperity of Ijumu Kingdom.

For too long, our kingdom has been divided along lines of politics and personal interests.

This fragmentation has hindered our collective growth and development.

It is time for us to recognise that our diversity is our strength, and that together, we can achieve far more than we can alone.

As we prepare to go to the polls, let us remember that the elections are not a contest between individuals or groups, but a chance to elect leaders who will serve the greater good.

Therefore, let us prioritise the interests of Ijumu Kingdom above personal ambitions and party affiliations.

We must embrace the spirit of unity, tolerance, and understanding.

We must engage in constructive dialogue, listen to each other’s perspectives, and work towards finding common ground.

Our shared heritage and collective aspirations should be the foundation upon which we build our future.

To our aspirants, I urge you to conduct yourselves with integrity, transparency, and accountability. Let your campaigns be issue-based, focusing on the development needs of our kingdom. Avoid divisive rhetoric and actions that may further polarise our people.

To our citizens, I encourage you to participate actively in the electoral process.

Educate yourself on the issues, attend political debates, and engage with candidates.

Exercise your right to vote, and do so with the future of Ijumu Kingdom in mind.*

Together, we can build a brighter future for ourselves, our children, and generations to come.

Let us rise above our differences and work towards a united, prosperous, and peaceful Ijumu Kingdom.

*Long live Ijumu Kingdom! Long live Kogi State! Long live Nigeria.*
