Wives of 21 LG Chairmen Donate Items to Orphanage Homes in Kogi

Moved by the compassion to reach out to the less privileged, wives of the 21 Local Government Chairmen in Kogi State have donated items to some orphanage Homes.

The Wife of the State ALGON Chairman, Mrs. Olokun Modupe who led the wives of other Council Chairmen said the group decided to reach out to the home due to the need to show love to the Special Children.

According to her, the donation is also based on the need to support the good work of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, the State first Lady as well as their husbands, who are providing democracy dividends to the people.

She noted that wives of the Chairmen are passionate about the wellbeing of Orphans and less privileged and will sustain the gesture.

Mrs. Olokun added that they will continue to provide needed support the down trodden in the State, saying the Chairmen’s wives are happy to identify with the laudable jobs of the State First Lady, Hajia Sefinat Ododo.

On her part, the Founder of Rehoboth Children’s Home, Chief Modupe Oluwatoyin Awoniyi applauded the move to reach out to the less privileged by the Council Chairmen’s wives, describing it as a step in the right direction.

According to her, “REHOBOTH Children’s Home is a sanctuary for orphaned and vulnerable children, providing them with a safe haven, education, and care. Our mission is to empower these young minds to become confident, self-sufficient, and contributing members of society.”

“As we strive to create a brighter future for these children, we recognize that our efforts are strengthened by partnerships and collaborations. This is where we believe your influence and support can be instrumental.

“We are organizing a seminar/workshop to address the plight of orphans and vulnerable children in our state. This event aims to raise awareness, facilitate discussions, and develop actionable strategies to improve the lives of these children. We kindly request your support for this initiative, whether through sponsorship, resource mobilization, or advocacy.

“As wives of LGA chairmen, your positions afford you a unique platform to champion the cause of vulnerable children. By collaborating with us, you can help amplify our voices, mobilize resources, and create meaningful change in the lives of these children.

The Chairmen’s wives also paid a similar visit to Stagi Cornerstone Orphanage.
