The Action Alliance candidate for the November 11 governoship election in Kogi State, Otunba Olayinka Braimoh has congratulated Oba Joseph Adebayo Ikusemoro, the Olubunu of Bunu land and Chairman, Bunu Traditional Council on his 98th birthday.
In a press statement from his campaign office in Lokoja, Braimoh described the traditional ruler as a true symbol of unity and ambassador of peace.
“I rejoice with your Royal Majesty on this auspicious occasion of your 98th birthday. Your life has been a complete demonstration of God’s love, mercy and unflinching support. Through your progressive leadership style, many of us have learnt a lot and we pray that God, in His infinite mercy, will give you good health to continue to teach us, your children, the needed wisdom to move Bunu, Okunland and Kogi State to the next level”, he stated.
The gubernatorial candidate further urged the people of Bunu land to continue to strengthen the bond of unity and the line of co-operation being fostered in the community by the aged but agile royal father.
Oba Joseph Ikusemoro is a first class King and has been on the throne since 1963 when the late Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello personally came to Olle – Bunu to crown him as the first Olubunu of Bunu land.
