Inline with the law that established the Kogi State Signage and Advertising Agency, which is getting rid of indiscriminate planting of billboards, pasting of posters of political campaigns, commercials, social and religious activities, the Agency is set to carry out massive enforcement across Lokoja metropolis.
The General Manager of the Agency, Hon. Osaseyi Richard made this known on Monday while addressing the staff in preparatory to the exercise.
He stated that the Agency is committed to making sure that Lokoja the State capital is clean and healthy for the people to do their business without any environmental hazard.
Hon. Osaseyi who urged the staff to be civil and discipline in carrying out the task, called on everyone to see the exercise as a woke up call to business owners, corporate organizations, and others to comply with the Agency’s rules and regulations in planting billboards and other outdoor advertisement in the State.
He applauded the Executive Governor of the State Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for his unwavering support to the Agency, promising that the Agency will carry out its responsibilities with diligence and accountability.
Kogi State Signage and Advertising Agency (KOSSAA) is a creation of the State House of Assembly with the responsibility of carrying out regulatory activities over outdoor advertisement within the state in collaboration with the Kogi State Internal Revenue Services (KGIRS).
