Following the announcement by the Federal Government for the introduction of Computer Based test Examination for WAEC, NECO and others, the Ijumu Local Government Council has concluded plans to establish a CBT Centre in Iyara, headquarters of the Local Government.
Chairman of the Local Government Area, Alh. Haruna Ibrahim announced this during a panel discussion at a Colloquium organised by Ijumu Development Union (IDU) at the Ijumu Unity Hall, Iyara.

Alh. Haruna said the move was part of the proactive steps being taken by his administration to ensure that no SSS 3 Students from the Local Government are left behind in the next National Examinations.
According to him, currently, the ICT Centre in Iyara is being remodeled into a CBT Centre to meet the needs of the Students and avoid traveling outside the Area in writing the examinations.
The Chairman, who used the discussion session to brief the gathering on the remarkable achievements of his administration, said since assumption of office in October last year, he has done a lot especially in the Area of Security.
“Honestly speaking, Ijumu is the safest Local Government Area in Kogi State and I can say it anywhere. My administration has been up and doing to ensure that our people sleep with their two eyes closed and enhance economic activities, the Chairman added.
He expressed his readiness to collaborate with political office holders from the Local Government extraction to attract government attention to the Area.
