KGSHIA Woos Kogi Judiciary on Health Insurance

The management staff of Kogi State Health Insurance Agency led by its Executive Secretary, Dr Adekunle Aledare on Thursday paid an advocacy visit to the Kogi State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Josiah Joe Majebi in his office in Lokoja.

 

Briefing the Chief Judge on the benefits of health insurance plan, the Executive Secretary, Dr Adekunle Aledare said health insurance provides easy access to quality health care including financial risk protection from catastrophic health expenditure.

 

Dr Aledare told the Chief Judge that over two thousand staff of the Judiciary have been enrolled into the state Health Insurance plan awaiting access to care.

 

In his response, the Honourable Kogi State Chief Judge, Justice Josiah Joe Majebi applauded His Excellency, the Chief Servant of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for the laudable health insurance plan been put in place in the state.

 

He added that the health insurance plan will go a very long way in improving the welfare of the workers in the state and also enhance their productivity.

 

The Chief Judge further said his office will follow the laid down process to onboard their staff into the state Health Insurance plan within the shortest possible time.

 

Earlier the Chairman of the state Judiciary Staff Union (JUSUN), Comrade Emmanuel Waniko expressed the Union’s commitment in ensuring that the judiciary staff benefit from the health insurance plan of the state.
