The Senator representing Kogi East Senatorial District, Jibrin Isah Echocho, has declared his readiness to lead a massive door-to-door campaign for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu across Kogi East ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Senator Echocho made the declaration shortly after casting his vote during the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries held at Odu Ward 2 in Kogi State, where party supporters and stakeholders turned out in large numbers for the exercise.

The federal lawmaker described the turnout at the primaries as a demonstration of the growing confidence and support the APC continues to enjoy among the people of Kogi East.

Speaking with journalists after the voting process, Echocho stated that President Tinubu has shown courage and commitment in governance, adding that the administration’s achievements across critical sectors justify the need for Nigerians to support his re-election bid.

According to the senator, the Tinubu administration has continued to implement bold economic reforms aimed at stabilizing the nation’s economy, improving revenue generation, and creating an enabling environment for investors.

He noted that despite economic challenges inherited by the administration, the Federal Government has remained focused on policies capable of repositioning the country for long-term growth and development.

Echocho also praised the President’s efforts in infrastructure development, particularly ongoing road rehabilitation projects, rail transportation improvements, and investments in the power sector aimed at boosting economic activities across the country.

The senator further highlighted achievements in the education sector, especially the introduction of the student loan programme, which he said has provided hope for thousands of Nigerian students seeking access to higher education.

On security, Echocho commended President Tinubu for strengthening support for security agencies through improved funding, provision of operational equipment, and intensified efforts to tackle insecurity in different parts of the country.

He also applauded the administration’s commitment to agriculture and food security through farmer support initiatives, agricultural interventions, and programmes designed to encourage local food production and reduce dependence on imports.

The lawmaker added that the Tinubu administration has equally demonstrated concern for Nigerian youths through empowerment schemes, business support initiatives, and programmes aimed at reducing unemployment and promoting entrepreneurship.

Echocho disclosed that he, alongside other APC leaders and stakeholders in Kogi East, would embark on extensive grassroots mobilization and direct engagement with communities across the nine local government areas of the district.

“Our responsibility now is to take the message of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu directly to the people. We are going to every household in Kogi East to speak on the achievements of this administration and why the President deserves another opportunity to continue his developmental agenda for Nigeria,” he said.

The senator expressed confidence that the people of Kogi East would overwhelmingly support President Tinubu in the next election, insisting that the administration’s achievements in infrastructure, education, security, agriculture, youth empowerment, and economic reforms have already strengthened public confidence in the APC-led government.
