In a recent meeting between the Kogi Yoruba Community and the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), commended the community for its unity and consistent support for the state government.

Speaking at the meeting, Commander Omodara acknowledged the support of the Oba of the Yoruba Community in Kogi State, His Royal Highness Oba Bello Audu, in the fight against crime and criminality in the state. He noted that the traditional ruler has been giving the state government all the support required to tackle insecurity.

Omodara highlighted some of the state government’s key achievements in recent times, including the elimination of a notorious bandit leader, Kachalla Ibrahim Battijo, and several of his associates.

He, however, urged members of the community to sustain their cooperation with security agencies by remaining vigilant and providing timely, credible intelligence to strengthen security and maintain peace across the state.
