KCOE, Ankpa Governing Council Ratifies Appointment of Four Principal Officers

The 14th Governing Council of the Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa, at its emergency meeting held on Thursday in Lokoja, formally ratified the appointment of four Principal Officers of the College by His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State and Visitor to the College.

 

According to Auwal Isa, Public Relations Officer of the College, the appointments ratified by the Governing Council are: Dr. Gabriel Alhassan Ottah – Registrar, Dr. Adeika Obaro Obadaki – Bursar, Dr. Oyelola Emmanuel – Librarian, and Engr. Mekefa Richard Taiwo – Director of Works and Services.

Following the ratification, members of the Governing Council held an interactive session with the newly appointed Principal Officers.

 

The engagement provided an opportunity for the Council to congratulate the appointees, discuss the strategic direction of the College, and emphasize the importance of teamwork, accountability, excellence, and commitment to the institution’s vision and mandate.

The emergency meeting was co-chaired by Dr. Galadima Muhammed Adamu,(acting chairman) and Dr. Paul Femi Fashagba, Provost of the Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa.

 

The Governing Council expressed confidence in the capacity, competence, and experience of the newly appointed Principal Officers and charged them to discharge their responsibilities with diligence, integrity, and dedication in order to advance the growth and development of the College.

 

The Council also expressed profound appreciation to His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his unwavering commitment to strengthening the governance and administration of tertiary education in Kogi State through the appointment of qualified and competent professionals to key leadership positions.

 

The Governing Council reaffirmed its commitment to working harmoniously with the College management and all stakeholders to promote academic excellence, institutional development, and efficient service delivery.
