The Provost of Kogi State College of Education Ankpa, Dr. Paul Femi Fashagba has sympathised with the Iyara Community, headquarters of Ijumu Local Government over the passing of the Eleta Oluyara, HRH. Oba Jacob Meduteni.
Dr. Fashagba in a statement expressed deep sorrow over the demise of the Eleta Oluyara, describing him as a humble and straightforward person.
He also described the late Iyara Paramount Ruler as a respected traditional ruler whose contributions to the development of Iyara, Ijumu and Okunland cannot be forgotten.
The Provost recall that before ascending the throne in 2023, Oba Meduteni had a distinguished career in engineering and corporate management, including his service as a former Chief Executive Officer of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (KAEDCO) and Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO).
He added that the monarch’s death is a painful loss to the people of Iyara and the entire Ijumu community, particularly coming at a time when his leadership and wisdom were still greatly needed.
He enjoined his immediate family, and Iyara Community to take solace in the impactful life he lived and the legacy he left behind.
Dr. Fashagba prayed to God to grant the Late King eternal rest and the family, fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
