Constituents of Olle/Oke-Offin Ward and environs in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area are set for a major boost as Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), State Security Adviser to the Kogi State Government, flags off another edition of his annual empowerment programme.
The event holds on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, by 10:00am prompt at the Oke-Offin Primary School Field.
According to organisers, the programme is designed to uplift the economic wellbeing of the people by providing tools, materials, and support to beneficiaries across different sectors. The initiative, they say, reflects Omodara’s commitment to grassroots development and his belief that sustainable empowerment is key to poverty reduction and community progress.
This year’s edition will also be combined with a mass decampment ceremony, as thousands of new members from Olle/Oke-Offin Ward join the All Progressives Congress (APC). Party leaders say the turnout is expected to further strengthen the APC’s grip on Bunuland and Kogi State at large.
Organisers noted that the empowerment drive aligns with the people-focused agenda of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Dignitaries expected at the event include the Governor of Kogi State, top government officials, party leaders, traditional rulers, and stakeholders from across the state.
Omodara has over the years been consistent in giving back to his community through education support, skills acquisition, medical outreach, and direct material empowerment.
Beneficiaries and members of the public have been advised to be seated on time.
