The Capital of Ekiti State, Ado Ekiti turned into one giant party on Saturday as Adeife and Adefisayo tied the knot in a wedding that pulled in top brass from both Kogi and Ekiti States.
The bride, Adeife, is daughter to Commodore Adesola Ojo, Commander of Nigerian Navy Ship Lugard, Lokoja — and it showed, with military top shots, government officials and traditional rulers all turning out for the celebration.
Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo made sure the couple felt the love, sending his State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), to represent him at the colourful ceremony.

The Governor didn’t just come to dance, though he came with messages.
Through his rep, Ododo showered blessings on the newlyweds, praying for a home built on love and prosperity.
He also took the moment to big up Ekiti State for standing firmly behind Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji during the last governorship election — clearly not missing a chance to talk politics at a party.
But the real shoutout of the day went to the bride’s father. Ododo heaped praise on Commodore Ojo for his role in tackling crime in Kogi State, especially his work securing the state’s waterways, and thanked Ekiti indigenes for producing “such a gallant and dedicated officer” for the nation.
To the couple, the Governor’s advice was simple: love, patience, tolerance and mutual respect — the real ingredients, he said, for a marriage that lasts.
An emotional Commodore Ojo thanked Governor Ododo for standing with his family, and guests capped off the day with prayers and well wishes for the newly married pair as Ado Ekiti basked in the celebratory mood.
