The Federation of Yagba West Student Unions have declared their support for Otunba Olayinka Braimoh, the Action Alliance (AA) governorship candidate in Kogi State.

The declaration, which was made on behalf of the body by the President of the Group, Comrade Olabisi Atanda, was premised on the fact that Braimoh has shown that he is accessible, approachable, and capable.

“We do not see him as a regular politician. Unlike other politicians that students cannot go close to, meet with, or even discuss with, Otunba Olayinka Braimoh is highly accessible—most of all, he is not proud.

“These qualities are what make him the best candidate for Kogi. Unlike other politicians who cannot be reached, Olayinka Braimoh, even with all the protocols around him, gives everyone the rare opportunity to talk to him directly. I think he is a round peg needed to be fixed in the round hole of the state.”

Similarly, the President of Egbe Students Union, Comrade Damilare Igeodu who doubles as the Social Director of Federation of Yagba Students has sponsored and released a campaign song for Otunba Braimoh.

Speaking at the launch of the song, Comrade Igeodu said: “I have always read beautiful things about the AA Governorship candidate, Otunba Olayinka Braimoh and have never heard any negative things about him.

“This is why, I said to myself that this must be a rare and special politician that deserves our support. So, without seeing or meeting him, I personally went into the studio and produced a campaign song for him. So, when I finally met him at the event, his disposition proved that he is exactly what I have read and heard about.

“This is why, my family, my group, and I shall mobilise for his success at the 11th November polls,” the activist and musician said.

While speaking at the event, Braimoh, who has emerged as an early front runner in the race to the Kogi State Government House, emphasised that his candidacy is borne out of a genuine need to rescue the people of Kogi State from poverty.

“For me, it has always been about the people. How can we put more money in the pockets of our citizens? How can we ensure that every family has food on their tables? How can we develop our state through tourism, agriculture, trade, and by developing our solid mineral sector?

“This is what my STAT agenda is about. It looks towards the future. I want to make our people happy by putting money in their pockets, creating opportunities across our state, and making Kogi State a model for the rest of the country,” Braimoh said.

The Action Alliance candidate thanked the various groups at the town hall for their support and called on them to rally their friends, family, and communities to come out en masse on 11th November to vote for the Action Alliance (AA) party.
