However, the programme is expected to bring together the sons and daughters of the community, showcasing the rich cultural development of Iyamoye Kingdom

Consequently, the newly constituted National Executive Committee of the Union, saw the urgent need to showcase the community’s cultural heritage to the world, therefore consulted widely with the Obaro of Iyamoye Kingdom and his Council of Chiefs, various Stakeholders and Interest Groups within the community and also in diaspora. Now resolved to have the Maiden Edition as scheduled above.

The programme promises to be great events as many of the sons and daughters of the community both at home and in the diaspora will grace the occasion.

Also, to mention, expected in attendance are bigwigs of the society, especially in Kogi State, Captains of Industries, political juggernauts, and representatives across board will be on ground for the big event.

Good enough, some of the rich cultures of the community will be showcased. These include but are not limited to Omoloro, Imole, Olode, and Egungun festivals. Major tourist centres that will be visited are Awaja Mountain, Oroke Epo, Oluko (used to be a peace haven for our forefathers during wars and external aggressions) and Abodu (Where some Kings in Ijumu LGA used to come for training before becoming substantive heads of their towns). Other side attractions include: “Udi mo fefefe oun ko wole de, “wowo”, “okolobo-kolobo” etc, paying of homage to the Obaro by peer groups, Ayo Opon Competition, Community Service Awards and Conferment of chieftaincy titles etc, to foster outstanding Community performance, reward, and ramification development programmes.

The event will also be used to raise Two Hundred Million Naira Only (N200,000,000.00) endowment fund for the development of some projects in the community which includes skill acquisition centre for youth empowerment programme; and to also safeguard
our rich cultural heritage, including our tourism centres, artefacts, monuments, and others.

Iyamoye is a historical agrarian Community located in Ijumu LGA, Kogi State in the North Central Zone of Nigeria, surrounded with beautiful natural formations that are capable of drawing the attention and bringing International Communities to Nigerian and will, without any iota of doubt, invariably, increases internally generated revenue (IGR) of Government across levels if properly harness and developed.
