The Iyamoye Development Union (IDU) has announced a comprehensive lineup of dignitaries for the 2026 edition of Iyamoye Day, themed: Mobilizing our collective strength for growth, progress and a prosperous future: Mobilizing our collective strength for growth, progress and a prosperous future,” scheduled to hold on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Iyamoye Community, Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The event, themed around royal reception, chieftaincy and fundraising, will be presided over by HRH I. B. Aminu, the Obadofin and Regent of Iyamoye Kingdom, who will serve as the event’s royal father.
According to the event’s official programme, the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, CFR (Rtd), will attend as Special Guest of Honour, while Major General Tahir Oshe Umar (Rtd) will serve as Chairman of the event.
Other dignitaries expected include Distinguished Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Sunday Karimi, and Hon. Arc. Idris Salman, who are both listed as Guests of Honour.
Chief Launcher is Barrister Adebola Sheidu.
Also billed to attend are the Asiwaju of Ayere Kingdom, Prince Olatunji Olusoji, listed as Co-Launcher, alongside Rt. Hon. Joseph Abiodun Faleke, Hon. Tajudeen Yusuf, Hon. Dr. Rufus Idris Oluwafemi (Idrufem), Hon. Obanewo Titus F. (OTF), and Rt. Hon. Leke Joseph Abejide, who are listed as Guests of Honour and Co-Launchers for the event.
Organisers say the event will feature a N500 million fundraising drive in support of community development, alongside the royal reception and chieftaincy ceremonies, under the theme celebrating heritage, unity and development.

The IDU, in a statement announcing the event, said the fundraising and reception form part of efforts to advance the socio-economic development of Iyamoye Community, urging sons and daughters of the community and well-wishers to support the initiative.
