May 27th: Enemona Foundation Celebrates Nigerian Children

The Enemona Humanitarian Foundation has felicitated with Nigerian children on the occasion of the 2022 Children’s Day celebration.

In a statement by the Executive Director of the foundation, Williams Illah described the Nigerian children as exceptionally gifted, brilliant and resilient children who are destined for greatness.

Despite the various challenges faced by children in Nigeria ranging from poor parentage, lack of educational and medical amenities, the foundation extols the struggle for survival by the average Nigerian child.

Williams who said the foundation is concerned about the welfare of orphans and children from vulnerable homes in Nigeria, called on the Nigerian government to prioritize the welfare of children by providing security, medical, educational and social security for them

According to the Enemona foundation, providing the basic necessities of the Nigerian child in a secured environment is the surest route to a happy and fulfilling future for children.

The humanitarian foundation therefore called on the government at all levels to provide adequate protection for children against all forms of abuse as another means to fulfil their future.

On the issues of enactment of the Child Rights Act aimed at giving children a sense of belonging, Enemona foundation appealed to the federal government to see that the act is domesticated by all states and the FCT

“Let us all remain ever conscious of our duty to bring up our children with the right orientation and to bequeath to them a peaceful and prosperous society,”

The statement charged children to be good ambassadors of the State and their parents. the statement also urged them to shun evil vices and be of good behavior so that that they can have a brighter future

Assuring them that he shares their vision for a very bright future, the foundation urged the children to improve on their academic performance by preparing very well ahead of all examinations while being focused on achieving excellence in their studies.

On the part of parents, Enemona foundation urged them to dutifully play their own roles in providing the immediate needs for their children, adding that the future peace of the country is largely dependent on it.
