In his resolve to boost Small and Medium Enterprises in Kano, Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf has launched a monthly empowerment programme aimed at providing N50,000 each to 5,200 women in the state.

The Governor while speaking during the Launch of the Programme said each of the different sets of 5,200 women spread across the 44 Local Government areas of the state would receive the cash, totaling N260 million, every month until the conclusion of his tenure.

According to him, the programme, which is to be managed by the Community Re-orientation Committee (CRC), entails assisting 100 women from each of the 36 rural Local Governments and 200 women from each of the 8 metropolitan LGAs.

He added that the assistance serves as a gesture of gratitude to the women folk for their overwhelming support and commitment during the 2023 elections.
