The Community President states that “I stand before you today to address a serious matter that has recently affected our beloved Aiyegunle Gbede community. As many of you may already know, our community dam and the two servicing transformers (crucial resource for our community) were vandalized in a distressing incident that has deeply impacted us all.”
“Thanks to the vigilant efforts of our dedicated local vigilantes, those responsible for this grievous act were promptly apprehended. We quickly took swift action to ensure these individuals were reported to the Area Command in Kabba. Regrettably, despite our community’s earnest attempt to secure further investigation into the matter, the suspects were quickly charged and taken to court without the additional interrogation needed to identify and apprehend the kingpin and other potential accomplices.
According to him, “the community’s priority remains to uncover the full extent of the conspiracy behind this attack, get all our stolen properties back and to hold all responsible parties accountable. We have been actively engaging with the relevant authorities, including the Area Command, to emphasize the importance of a thorough investigation. Our goal is to ensure that justice is served and that our community can be assured of its safety and security.”
“I want to assure everyone that Aiyegunle Gbede is resolute in its commitment to protecting our communal assets and upholding the rule of law. We are working tirelessly to support the ongoing legal process and to ensure that our concerns are addressed.
“We call on the relevant authorities to collaborate with us in ensuring that justice is served and that our community’s interests are fully represented.
“We appreciate the support and understanding of all community members during this challenging time. Your vigilance and cooperation are crucial as we navigate this situation and work towards a resolution.
