The Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna, has lauded Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his exceptional sterling leadership traits, describing his first year in office as impactful, progressively laden and result driven.
In a statement he personally signed to mark His Excellency one-year anniversary, Alhaji Haruna praised Governor Ododo efforts in building on, and sustaining the legacy of the former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello, through an improved provision of infrastructural facilities across the State as well as bringing succor to the Civil Servants, pensioners as well as Government Officials through prompt payments of Salaries and allowances.
Alhaji Haruna describes as monumentally impactful, the projects and Policies implementation of His Excellency since his assumption of office, saying they are uniquely superb and has brought more of sustainable economic growth and development to the State.
On Security, Alhaji Haruna acknowledged His Excellency proactive measures in ensuring the safety of lives and property, making the state more secure for residents and businesses to thrive.
Speaking on the arrays of projects implementation and execution in Ijumu Local Government, the chairman noted the numerous benefits the the Local Government has received under Governor Ododo’s leadership.
He emphasized that His Excellency various roads construction projects has improved connectivity and boosted economic activities of the people within Local Government.
The healthcare sector has also witnessed significant improvements, with the establishment and upgrading of hospitals to provide better medical services for the people.
Alhaji Haruna further noted that Governor Ododo has given special attention to traditional institutions in Ijumu by upgrading traditional stools as well as providing adequate welfare supports to the traditional rulers.
The Chairman praised the governor for appointing qualified individuals from Ijumu into key government positions, ensuring that the local government is well represented in state affairs.
Expressing his gratitude to the Governor for these initiatives, Alhaji Haruna has assured that he will continue to follow in Governor Ododo’s footsteps by embarking on projects that will be of benefits cut across the entire Political landscape of Ijumu Local government.
He further pledged to uphold good governance, enhance adequate Security, and drive infrastructural development in Ijumu, aligning with the governor’s vision for a better Kogi State.
Alhaji Haruna called on the people of Ijumu and Kogi State to continue their supports for Governor Ododo’s administration, emphasizing that his leadership remains focused in transforming lives and fostering sustainable development.
