Hon. Salman Idris, the member representing Kabba-Bunu Ijumu Federal Constituency has condemned the heinous attack on Ayegunle-Igun Community, in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area.

I am deeply saddened and outraged by the tragic and senseless attack carried out by armed bandits on Ayegunle-Igun Community in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State which resulted in the gruesome killing of a head teacher and two other innocent citizens, while several others were abducted.
This barbaric act is wicked, unacceptable and a direct assault on the peace, security and collective well-being of our people. I strongly condemn this cowardly attack in its entirety and call on security agencies to ensure that the perpetrators are swiftly apprehended and brought to justice.
My heartfelt condolences go to the families of the deceased, the entire Ayegunle-Igun Community and all those affected by this unfortunate incident. The loss of these innocent lives, particularly that of a dedicated educator who devoted his life to shaping the future of our children, is painful and heartbreaking. I pray that Almighty God grants the departed eternal rest and gives their families the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
To the families of those who have been kidnapped, I share in your anxiety and pain at this difficult time. I want to assure you that efforts are ongoing to secure the safe and immediate release of your loved ones. I have been in close contact with relevant security agencies and government authorities regarding this unfortunate development.
I wish to assure the people of Ayegunle-Igun, Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area and the entire Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency that both the Kogi State Government and the Federal Government are committed to addressing this security challenge. Necessary measures are being intensified to rescue the abducted victims and strengthen security across vulnerable communities to prevent a recurrence of such incidents.
This is a time for unity, vigilance and cooperation with security agencies. I urge residents to remain calm, law-abiding and continue to provide useful information that may aid ongoing rescue and security operations.
As your representative, I remain fully committed to the protection of lives and property and will continue to work with all relevant authorities to ensure that our communities are safe and secure.
May God protect our people, comfort the bereaved families and grant the safe return of all those currently in captivity.
