A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Kogi State, Chief David Aiyedogbon popularly known as Charvid has congratulated the Caretaker Chairman of Ijumu Local Government, Alh. Haruna Ibrahim on his appointment by Governor Yahaya Bello.
Chief Aiyedogbon in a statement made available to Our Reporter on Wednesday described the appointment as well deserved and a step in the right direction.
The statement reads “I congratulate Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna on his well deserved appointment as the Caretaker Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
“The appointment of Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna is, undoubtedly, a welcome development, considering his long time passion for unity, infrastructural and human capacity development in Ijumu Local Government Area.
Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna is a well known philanthropist, Human Developer and an epitome of humility, who occupies an enviable position in the hearts of his people.
“The newly appointed Caretaker Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area is a successful business man, an accomplished politician and a complete gentleman. He will no doubt pour oil on the troubled political waters in Ijumu Local Government Area and also bring about the long anticipated peace and unity that Ijumu people have long yearned for.
“I sincerely believe in the supremacy of God Almighty and His power. He delegates power to whoever He wishes. It has pleased God to choose Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna, a Bridge Builder and a Unifier, to superintend over the affairs of Ijumu Loca Government Area, at this time when what is critically required to move Ijumu forward is participation, reconciliation, forgiveness, brotherliness and joint actions of all stakeholders for peace and development.
“I beseech Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna to shun all acts of divisiveness, sycophancy, religious bigotry and ethnic bias in discharging his duties. I also pray that God will give him the required will to take appropriate decisions that will place him on the right side of history.

“I also congratulate the newly appointed Caretaker Chairman of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Barr. Zacheous Dare Michael and all other Local Government Caretaker Chairmen in Kogi West Senatorial District, in particular and Kogi State, in General.
