Christmas: Kogi Finance Commissioner Gets Encomiums for Distributing Bags of Rice to Staff

The Permanent Secretary of Finance, Mallam Sani Haruna has lauded the Honorable Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Asiwaju Idris, for his generous gesture in procuring numerous bags of Confluence Rice for distribution to Ministry staff as a part of the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

 

The Permanent Secretary stated this while addressing the management and staff, according to Princess Funsho Sumanu, Public Relations Officer of the Ministry.

 

Highlighting the significance of Confluence Rice, the Permanent Secretary stated that “Confluence Rice is alive and operational”. It is producing high-quality rice that rivals the best, combining rich nutrients with the quality found in premium foreign rice.”

He also noted that the rice being distributed is locally produced in Kogi State, which aligns with the state government’s food security initiative and is crucial for fostering sustainable agriculture in the state.

 

According to Mallam Haruna, this initiative not only supports workers but also strengthens our local economy by promoting the products of Kogi State.

He urged all citizens to support local produce by patronizing Confluence Rice, emphasizing that doing so not only provides value for money but also boosts the state’s economy, enabling the government to deliver essential services that benefit all residents.

 

Confluence Rice, our state’s pride, remains operational and will continue to produce high-quality rice that stands out as one of the best in Nigeria.

 

This exceptional rice combines the nutritional benefits of local varieties with the premium quality associated with imported rice. It is a product that reflects the government’s dedication to excellence, delivering not only substantial substance but also superior quality.

 

The Permanent Secretary encouraged all citizens and staff to patronize Confluence Rice, as doing so not only promises value for money but also contributes to the economic growth of our dear state.

 

The revenue generated will be channeled into providing essential services that benefit everyone.

 

He expressed gratitude to the Honorable Commissioner for his consistent support during festive seasons, which has fostered a spirit of one big family and goodwill within the ministry.

 

Under the guidance of His Excellency, the Executive Governor, we have witnessed remarkable progress throughout our community. We acknowledge the governor’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our citizens and appreciate the platform he has provided for our Commissioner, Hon. Asiwaju’s Idris, to thrive in his role, Mallam Haruna stated.

 

Furthermore, the Permanent Secretary commended the government for its ongoing infrastructure development projects. “Under Governor Ododo’s administration, no sector has been overlooked, and we are witnessing significant advancements that will benefit all residents of Kogi State,” he added.

 

In conclusion, he encouraged all staff to remain committed to their roles, saying to whom much is given, much is required. Let us continue to strive for excellence in our work to ensure our governor has the enabling environment to carry out his responsibilities effectively,” he stated.
